In 2016 Bretling gets off to smart start with new versions of its iconic Navitimer: the Navitimer 01 Limited Edition, and a crisp new Chronomat, the 44 Blacksteel.
The new Navitimer, a model first launched in 1952 and famed for its circular slide rule bezel, comes in a run of 1000 pieces in handsome gray and black livery, the dark gray dial featuring black counters.
The 43mm chronograph has an in-house caliber, which is visible through a sapphire case-back, features a black oscillating weight.
It is chronometer-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) and offers 70 hours power reserve.
The Navitimer 01 is available with a steel bracelet, or with leather or crocodile leather straps in various colours.
The Breitling Chronomat 44 Blacksteel is a fresh take on the model complete with distinctive square chronograph counters, red dial accents and carbon-black case treatment.
The unidirectional rotating bezel features black rubber-inlaid numerals and a large luminescent dot facilitating the countdown of flight or dive times.
The watch combines a military-style anthracite high-tech fabric exterior with a rubber lining for comfort.
The Chronomat has a screw-lock crown and push pieces and is water-resistant to 200 meters. It’s self-winding certified chronograph movement is powered by a black oscillating weight visible through the transparent case back.
