We all have our favourite watch brands, but is it time to also consider the silversmiths?
Iconic designer Georg Jensen is hoping to attract more men to its watch wear with the introduction of fresh looks and a brand new model range.
The handsome offering includes a re-take on elegant Koppel timepieces in both quartz and mechanical powered versions, now offered in a comprehensive choice of configurations ranging from a 38mm hand-wound piece to a 41mm automatic calendar complication with built-in leap years that re-sets itself according to the days in a month. The clever thing is these watches, while being close to the Nomos school of design, look like no others; all would appeal to anyone with an architectural aesthetic or fondness for the stripped back. Well, room for one of those in our personal collections surely.

Then there’s the beefy new line-up of 42mm models called Delta, again in quartz and mechanical variations. This is a robust and more sporty range designed with the outdoors in mind. Stand-outs are the Dive (pictured top) and GMT models, the former finished in black and looking a treat. It’s always nice to have a fresh range of wrist options.
